Aurora
story
Aurora was my first dnd character, she is a ranger tiefling who got stuck the fae wild when she was young which stunted her growth. due to her demonic features, she has learned waearing "cute" outfits help fit in, though some still jugh her.
process
while she no longer has a role in the campaign that she was created for, drawing her concept art was important to make her fit into the world.
I decided to make her overall design a balance between looking human while still having the normal teifling horns, wings and tail, this is becauce in here backstory she's an affair child meaning she needed to be close enough to a normal child to be discuised.
while she's mentally in her 30-40s, i often dress her in bright colorful clothing since she is aware people often view her as a child due to her size, by taking advantage of that she often can get away with things like stealing or tresspassing.
the best kind of character design has to account for what situations they will be placed in, in this case, i made shore her outfit was out of the way but warm since she isnt used to the overworld tempatures.

Eve
story
Eve, like Aurora is a teifling, alot of her story wasnt polished, however; she came from a community that was very misogynistic and still held the idea that women couldnt fight or do "manly" activities. along with these ideals and having been branded on her hands, she fled and survived on her own until she got recruited into a group of adventurers. she finds a sentient sword and makes it her goal to become a legendary knight that could change how people view her and to prove her homeland wrong
process
for here portrait, i wanted her design to resemble something closer to a harpy or cat as it helps show her mysteryous/mystevious personality, being very nature based down to the fantasy culture relying on it for survival as outcasts, she has flowers on her horns and often can be found with vines and moss somewhere on her outfit. along with nature being a huge part of her being, i have her hair long with two bunches wrapped in ribbon as almost a dedication to her homeland. while she doesn't have the same mindset as her community, where she originated is in her blood and she continues to hold onto that closely.
Lucial
story
Lucial was a middle school concept character who is an "undead" cyborg, the idea was that with blood magic someone was able to put a soul into a robot to create a hybrid. she had gained more sentience then planned and so was deactived in front of an abandoned portion of woods where she would sit until someone can reactivate her heart.
process
originally she was going to be for a cult story however, her soft appearance made me rethink how she was going to be conceptually so i gave her a green dress, fur coat and deer horns to bring her closer properly fitting the story.
i gave her pale skin and hair because i wanted her to appear albino, this is to make her more obviously stand out with the tanner community that created her.
